India – Eloor
Eloor is an island situated on the Periyar river and is one of the most industrialised areas in the State of Kerala, with more than 247 chemical industries that discharge 17,35,00,000 liters of highly polluted effluents per day into the river. Blacksmith carried out an initial investigation of the site and shared the data with the local authorities.
