Ruben Kraiem

Mr. Kraiem leads the firm’s Latin American practice. He is also a member of the firm’s Clean Energy and Climate industry group. He is a director and member of the executive committee of Resources for the Future, a member of the governing committee of the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, a member of the advisory board for the Theodore C. Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice at the CUNY Law School and a director of the Coalition for Rainforest Nations Secretariat. He was a trustee (from 1994 to 2009) and is currently an honorary trustee of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Mr. Kraiem has been a Distinguished Scholar in Residence at the New York University Law School (2002-2003), an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School (2007-2009) and at the Columbia University Business School (1992-1994), a teaching fellow at Harvard College (1980-1981) and a visiting lecturer at the Stanford Law School, Cardozo Law School and CUNY Law School. He is a graduate of Yale University, where he was awarded his B.A. degree in 1978, and of Harvard Law School, where he received his J.D. degree in 1981 and was Articles Editor (1980-1981) of The Harvard International Law Journal. Mr. Kraiem is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
