Blacksmith recognized as one of country’s top performing nonprofits again

We have great news. Blacksmith Institute has been recognized as one of the country’s top performing nonprofits AGAIN, confirming our continued effectiveness at what we do with sound fiscal management, accountability and transparency.

We retained our 4 star charity rating, the highest rating from Charity Navigator, the country’s leading independent charity evaluator. Only about one-quarter of evaluated charities achieve this level.

We are grateful and would like to thank everyone for continuing to support Blacksmith’s work over the years. It means a great deal to us because toxic pollution is one global problem we actually have a solution for. We can end it. We just need your help to do so.  That is why this Charity Navigator rating is so important to us. It confirms our commitment and effectiveness.

With your help, we have already made a world of difference for thousands of children and their families, who live each day surrounded by poison. Our cleanups have given them a chance at life without diseases, disability and cancers. But for each polluted site we clean up, there are many, many more. And we cannot afford to stop because Blacksmith is the only organization working on cleaning up toxic pollution on a global scale. See our annual report to see what we accomplished last year.

From the Charity Navigator site: “Our ratings provide clear, objective, and reliable assessments of the financial health as well as the accountability and transparency of charities. By utilizing our ratings, givers/investors can learn how a charity compares on these performance metrics with other charities throughout the country. Givers/investors can be more confident that in supporting those charities rated highly by Charity Navigator, they will be supporting organizations that are more financially healthy, accountable and transparent. See Blacksmith’s review/rating.

THANK YOU. We look forward to your continued support.
