Thank you to all you “headbangers,” “lead singers” and “groupies,” and everyone who had a “front row seat” or “backstage pass” at our Heavy Metal Benefit Bash.
You came, you dined, learned more about toxic heavy metals, and some of you went home with a few prized pieces of mercury-free gold jewelry. But most importantly, you all made a difference. Thank you for your generosity and continued support for our work fighting pollution in some of the world’s worst polluted places, including our work training artisanal gold miners to go mercury-free.
Thank you to our honorees: Pure Earth Green Benefactor Conrad Meyer, and our Impact Award-Winners Pamela Love and Diamond Foundry/Martin Roscheisen.
Thank you to Pure Earth ambassador Molly Bair, who will continue to help us raise awareness about pollution’s impact.
Thank you to the most dedicated group of responsible designers, who donated their time and talent to help us create a special collection for auction, featuring fine jewelry crafted using recycled, fairmined or mercury-free gold. Vogue called our team “… some of the coolest jewelry labels around” and we agree!
Thank you to Fatou Sow, our Pure Earth team member who came all the way from Senegal to share with us stories about the tragic toll of lead poisoning on the region’s children. She reminded us all of the reason we come together for the benefit each year.
And thank you to all of you who came out to support our cause. We cannot do what we do without your help.
Pollution is one global threat that has solutions! Together, #WeCanFightPollution. Remember, cleaning up one community at a time brings us closer to a Pure Earth.
Thank you for being a part of the solution.
