Established in 1999, Pure Earth celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.  What began as a small organization cleaning up toxic sites has grown into a global pioneer of pollution research and evidence-based solutions, with offices in ten countries. Over the years, Pure Earth has identified and mitigated pollution sources, cleaned up nearly 5,000 toxic sites, and analyzed thousands of consumer products for lead contamination. The organization’s efforts, including the influential publication of the Lancet Commission on Pollution and Health, have driven major policy changes and garnered global attention. Pure Earth’s groundbreaking reports, like the Toxic Truth Report, highlighted the global scale of childhood lead poisoning, leading to initiatives such as the Protecting Every Child’s Potential Initiative. As Pure Earth commemorates 25 years of unwavering dedication to reducing pollution, we continue to innovate and expand our global impact, ensuring a world where all, especially children, live healthy lives, free from exposure to toxic pollution.
